ATLANTA, Georgia.- A medida que avanza el huracán Zeta por la costa sureste de los Estados Unidos, en Georgia autoridades escolares de algunos distritos del área metropolitana de Atlanta suspendieron las clases presenciales para este jueves y otros decidieron el aprendizaje a distancia.
El norte de Georgia se encuentra actualmente bajo una advertencia de tormenta tropical.
Las bandas de Zeta ya están trayendo lluvia a nuestra área, pero se espera mucho más a medida que se acerca la tormenta.Durante la noche, esperan fuertes lluvias, vientos huracanados e incluso posibles tornados. Los árboles y las líneas eléctricas podrían caer y es probable que se produzcan inundaciones.
Muchos distritos escolares cerraron preventivamente para mantener a las personas fuera de la carretera durante la parte más fuerte de la tormenta, que debería estar en el norte de Georgia entre las 3:00 a.m hasta las 9:00 a.m.
Los condados de Forsyth, Bartow, Cherokee, Dawson, Coweta, Banks, Fannin, Haralson, Heard, Lumpkin y Towns no tendrán clases, en persona o en línea, el jueves.
Los condados de Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Hall, Floyd y Union, así como las escuelas de la ciudad de Carrollton y Buford, tendrán aprendizaje únicamente virtual el jueves.
